WHAT HAPPENS TO TEXTILES THAT CAN’T BE WORN?

Used clothing that isn’t wearable is recycled into wiping cloths for cleaning factories and offices. Other non-wearable fabrics are shredded into shoddy for use as carpet padding and insulation. Finally, garnetted fabric is woven into yarn, which is used for new products.

Companies like ours prevent more than 2.5 billion lbs. of post-consumer textile waste from going to landfills every year.

We support our industry’s ecological and sustainability efforts. We are proud to be a member of industry organizations that uphold these ideals.
